2004 Grand Am won’t start

Well tried everything and still nothing so had it towed into Revive Autoshop Ltd2222 Shediac Rd, MONCTON, N.B and they told me the car has 2 timing chains and that it is a problem with the lower one. Can have it fixed and put back together and hope nothing else is wrong with it like a bent valve or something and tear it all apart again or just order another motor with less mileage on it for the difference in price I opt to order another motor and he will have me back up and running late Mon or Tues.
