2006 Pontiac Vibe CV joints

Thanks for the help so far, I have tried using the same tool that ETCG mentioned in the “2002 ford focus clutch replacement” video, it fits in there with no problems but no matter how hard I hit it it wont pop loose. Also right now im just doing the passenger side as it is the worse of the 2 and im limited on funds, looking at the new part it is just a simple snap ring on the end which should be pretty easy to pop out (and usually is!) Would drifting it out from the drivers side work or am i totally missing something here? No other car has ever given me this much trouble!
