If you are familiar with a meter, or even a test light, you could check for power and ground at the switch when the problem is occuring. If you have both, the switch be bad. You could also possibly by-pass the switch by simply wiring the power and ground wires together, but I’d have to have the wiring diagram to make sure. This applies to the clutch switch by the way, I just noticed you mentioned the ignition switch.
