More info:
I remembered what a car-head friend of mine said about ECU waiting until the engine is at operating temp then switching over to MAP sensor readings to control the engine. He was talking about the O2 sensor at the time. This problem only seems to occur once the engine warms up. So, I decided to clean the MAP sensor wiring connector contacts.
I got out the q-tips and electrical contact cleaner.
Made a little cup out of aluminum foil.
Sprayed cleaner in the cup.
Dipped a q-tip in contact cleaner.
Cleaned the MAP sensor contact pins with the q-tip.
I think that might have been the problem.
The car warmed up and idle for five minutes without stalling.
Seems to be pretty stable. Turning on the headlights didn’t cause a stall the engine just picked up the load.
I’ll have to see what it does during actual driving tomorrow.
