Lovingly restored a 1970 Norton Commando 750 cc motorcycle a while back. First ride a loose dog darted out into T-bone position. Dog died on the spot. Norton all wrecked. My riding gear all scuffed up, but my flesh intact. Bad luck. Pissed off. Much angst. Now one of my favorite stores to tell my riding buddies.
