02 explorer 4.6L fan clutch and water pump replacement, Ford OEM pump and Hayden clutch,… the clutch is significantly smaller than OEM clutch. Vehicle has 200,000 miles. Bolts on correctly but doesn’t fill space in fan,..should I get OEM Ford version? Verified correct part from rock auto?

If you mean the fan doesn’t fit into the shroud as the original one did this could pose a problem.
The back of the fan usually needs to be at least flush to the shroud.

If the fan is closer to the engine it will pull air in from the edge of the shroud instead of through the radiator.

    Ah …. ok
Then your just looking at a aftermarket part design that varies from the OEM.
    Shouldn’t pose any issue.
