Hello all. Love your videos Eric. I’ve owned 3 Hondas in the past 13 years now. My last two are Accords. And when I bought them used, both the remote door locks didn’t work. Well, here is the question, when I use the keyless entry button on the master key, I do hear a slight noise from both doors like it wants to work but nothing, lock or unlock. The outside lights will flash and horn works correspondingly to each button function on remote. So, the question is, is there a fuse I should be looking for or is it the actuator needs to be replaced?

Forgot also to mention, the inside both door lock switches don’t work but can hear clicking sound like its trying.

      Thank you

        Welcome to the forums!

I would see if anything is binding by the lock actuators as well as checking your wiring to make sure there is not any excessive corrosion.

If you can hear the locks trying then theres power. Each door has its own actuator. as
suggested you either don’t have enough power to drive the actuators or binding. I would
suggest you remove a door panel and check power to the actuator and check for binding.
Try manually operating the locks a few times to see if it frees upC8-)

I agree that the circuit is probably OK since you hear them try to work meaning I don’t think you have a fuse issue or anything like that. It’s actually a VERY common issue for the door lock actuators to go on those cars and what you describe sounds like the classic symptoms for that problem and I suspect both sides are bad based on your description.

Yes, as Eric stated common problem for actuators to fail. I recently had to replace one on the front passengers side for my 05 Accord. Same generation as your 03.
I found this DIY useful when doing this repair, it was for a 05, but again should be similar. Refer to this link http://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/f27/how-guide-replacing-your-power-door-lock-actuator-hah-21153/
