Hi all. Im new here, but have been watching ETCG videos for a while now. I have a 2004 lancer ralliart that has a small idle issue. When it warm out and ive been in stop and go traffic for a while, the car idle starts to go up. I can pull the pedal back up and the idle drops, but goes back up as soon as i press it again. Once i cruise for a little while the idle will go back to normal when i stop again. This isnt a big problem since it has a manual transmission, just annoying. I have noticed the throttle cable runs very close to the exhaust manifold. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

There may be some deposits on the throttle plate not allowing it to easily close on its own. Also check your throttle cable adjustment. It should have a slight bit of slack. Check/clean the throttle plate first.
You may want to look for vacuum leaks.Check that the throttle cable is not to tight. disconnect the throttle cable and check
for binding. Give the throttle body a cleaning. If you have a working ac turn it on and see if the idle goes up slightly and holds
