I have an intermittent issue when starting; I always wait about 2 seconds (3 beeps) after turning switch to on position to allow fuel pump to prime before engaging the starter. The Vig always starts right up, but when I experience the problem, the Vig just bogs out. From there, I will just have to wait a period of time and then it starts up like there wasn’t a problem at all. This has happened when the engine is cold (day’s 1st start) and after running. Once it starts, I don’t experience issue again until the next time it happens.
I had a similar, but different, problem a year or so back, determined it was the ignition switch was failing — that replacing the switch resolved.

I would recommend checking the fuel pressure when the problem happens. If it’s low, or erratic, then it’s likely a fuel pump problem.
