Hey guys, I am stuck between a rock and a very expensive place. I have a 1998 buick riviera that has a busted multifunction switch, which is on the column and controls the wiper, turn signal & I think the cruise. This thing is snapped off & hanging by a wire. The thing is, I know how to fix it, but the replacement part is really hard to get used & over $300 new. It was used in only the riviera 1997-1999. It does not share this bit with any other model.
Do any of you have a hack, where I could go into the switch assembly and swap out parts from another much more common GM model that costs way less? The connectors look fairly common fro GM style stuff. I imagine there has to be a work around from another model that I could cannibalize to make this work. Please help!
