Check that your reservoir has the correct amount of fluid. Check your motor mounts. If a mount is bad, there is a possibility that a hydraulic line could be getting pinched.
This is unusual. If anything, the car should behave in the opposite fashion. Because of the caster angle designed into the front suspension, the car should want to change direction very easily when moving in reverse, at the expense of defeating a lot of the automatic “self-centering” feature that you have when moving forward.
Have you taken any front end suspension impact recently, like bad potholes or curbs/parking blocks at speed?
