Looking at a 2002 cavalier for $300. It has 70k miles but needs a new rear rail frame something or other. Wondering if its worth it to buy the car. The old part on the car is rusted out and won’t pass inspection. Also if anyone knows about the cost of the repair.

I would be afraid of it .

Can you get a replacement frame ( sub frame ? ) from a salvage yard ?

Can you weld & do you have the facilities to do this kind of repair ?

What else is rusted out ?
