I have a 2005 Buick Century 3100 SFI and it is leaking coolant from the top driver side Engine Mount. It looks like it is coming from the bottom most bolt (there are 3), that holds the mount to the block. I can see the coolant between the mount and the block. It runs down the front of the engine from the mount. This seems to be below the lower intake manifold gasket which is dry. Is there a freeze plug in between there? Could it be leaking out of the bolt holes? I thought it was the intake manifold gasket and just got a great quote on fixing it, but after another look and some research it seems to be leaking from below the lower gasket for the intake. Engine starts and runs great with no loss of power. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Can you remove the bolts to see if coolant comes out of the block? see if this
link helps.I was just breaking down a 3.1 head for scrap this afternoon. There is indeed core plugs on both ends of the head. You could try topping off your coolant and putting a pressure tester on the cooling system to force a leak. Otherwise, I’d have no shame in pulling the mount bracket to make a visual confirmation.

I can replicate the leak by filling the radiator and running the engine. It instantly starts leaking and pressure builds up and I can hear air escaping from the problem area. Here is a video I took. Is there a freeze plug behind this mount or am I looking at a blown head gasket?

Pull the mount, refill the cooling system, confirm the leak for yourself.

It works for me? I was editing the message though so maybe it didn’t work then? So there is a plug there >:/ I guess I’ll have it looked at then as I cant get in there to pull the mount off without moving the exhaust, bypass pipe, and thermostat housing. https://youtu.be/QvkiiVXaEAI
