I have a 2005 Honda CRV with 140K miles on it. When I accelerate harshly, flooring it, I get a whistling sound from the car. IT seems to be a vacuum issue. As soon as I get to speed it goes away. I can accelerate smoothly and no issues. The car runs great! I had it to my mechanic, very reliable one by the way. He heard the whistle, smoke tested the intake manifold for leaks…none. He replaced the air filter…dirty and pvc valve and hose for it. He subscribes to a forum that states when this is happening the replace the pvc valve. He stated he would have to look into the intake manifold, but that would be costly and not sure if that would resolve the issue. Any ideas?
