Hello I’m curious to know why there are 2 different slide pins in my 2006 Santa Fe braking system? One has a flat surface and I’m puzzled to know why this is and which one goes where? Thanks.

I believe if you look inside the hole where the pins were removed, you should see a rubber bushing in one of them ( I believe the top one )
Odd that it didn’t come out with the pin.
It goes with the pin with the flats.

Hi Richard and thanks for the reply.
One pin has a rubber bushing on it and the other has a flat but my buddy removed them (while doing my brakes) and wasn’t sure which one went where?
So does the rubber/pin go on top or?

Rubber on top and remember to clean and lube the pins with the proper brake grease.

Thanks Richard he actually used standard petroleum grease on all 4’s MEH!
I can’t do it now but in Spring I will flush and use the proper.
              Thank-you
