2007 3.3L Dodge Caravan

      I have a 2007 Dodge Caravan 3.3L that is starting to stall, only when I come to a stop while in drive. It seems to stumble then stall out after about 4-5 seconds after I come to a stop. It restarts fine and idles ok when in park. It does however stumble some in reverse but does not stall. It also however has a very slight lag upon acceleration. There is no check engine light on. I guess the 1st thing I will do is clean the throttle body. It has been raining for a few days now and I am wondering if there may be something electrical. If anyone has any idea where else to look I appreciate it. Thanks.

        How many miles are on it? (3.3, A604 trans?) and when was the last time the transmission fluid was completely replaced with ATF +4 fluid and filter replaced? You may want to try and get any codes that the trans control module (TCM) may have stored in it (check engine light may not come on when trans codes are set I know my 1990 doesn’t turn the CEL on when trans codes are present I check every so often with my MT2500 scanner)

          I believe that is the trans. and it has 77,000mi. The trans fluid and filter have been changed twice since I had it since 28,000mi. Thanks for the tip, I am going to take to my friends garage tonight so he can scan for trans. codes. So you think this is more trans. related rather than engine or electrical?

            It could be since you have no CEL light on.
            Use only ATF +4 in an A604 transmission anything else will cause it to have a short life. I’ve had mine replaced 3 times. Now I do a complete flush every 50,000 miles and in between about 25,000 after complete flush I drop the pan, install new filter and clean debris from magnet. Never had any engine problems with my 1990 3.3 (280,000 miles on it) just trans problems and regular replacement service (brakes, pads, shoes , rotors oil changes, etc).

              It could be a transmission problem as suggested but perhaps it could also be a problem with the idle air control valve sticking. You might try tapping on it while the engine is idling, if the idle changes then perhaps you might want to clean the valve or replace it to see if the condition still exists.
