What thermostat would you guys run in a 2.4l 170 or 205 thermostat I have to replaces mine and just wondering what you guys recommend

I am pretty Shure there is a 170 in it at -6 c it runs at about 1/4 of the gauge just wondering if that is normal to run that low driving on they hwy
Recommend what the MFG originally equipped the vehicle with.
Instead of determining the coolant temp via a dash board gauge.
Might consider testing with a thermal probe to know what exactly the temps are.
