    Can someone tell me the exact function of the movable “lever” on the air intake that is to the right side of the battery (facing into the engine)? It can be rotated about 180° and as far as I can tell it does nothing. Maybe it is a handle??? There is nothing in the service manual that describes this item. Thanks.

    Its called a tube side branch P/N 17252-PZD-A10 what it does is creates a chamber to keep air intake noise quiet when you step on the throttle.
    most point in the direction toward the throttle body. no winding needed.
