2007 toyota corolla Japanese model

Hello,

My father have a 2007 toyota corolla (the Japanese model sold in the middle east). We were trying to change the cabin air filter but it ia not behind the glove box. Any idea were can it be located?
One mechanic suggested that this model don’t have a cabin air filter, which I am not convinced with at all.
