So I got the bearings out and everything. I am about to reassemble but I noticed one thing in the shop manual for this car. It is asking for Honda M60 (60% moly?) lubrication be applied to the end of the CV Joint that makes contact with the Wheel bearing Cassettes back. Do I need M60 (or now M77 is it’s replacement) or can I just use a high temperature water resistant grease?

The use of lubricant is to prevent rusting and wear.
I see no reason that a good quality grease wouldn’t work.

Thanks! I should coat the whole back and sides of it then, lol.. I had to use an airhammer to get them out. Woohoo! Northeast Corrosion!

I would apply a even coating (or perhaps use fluid film )
Not too excessive, don’t want to be slinging lube around while driving.

Pardon my ignorance, what is fluid film?

    Thanks,
