Hello I recently purchased a 2018 Ford explore and one thing that I noticed when we purchased it was that they did have to replace the battery because it appeared to be dead. I just noticed since I haven’t really checked that sort of thing is that when the vehicle is turned off the centered dash light that shows the speed and other warnings etc. is very dimly lit up but does not display anything once it turns off it’s just very dimly lit sort of like an LCD TV and I wanted to ask if this is normal for this model I was not able to find much information online and it seems that I have some sort of power drain and I think that may be related as I have verified there’s nothing else on in the vehicle that could be causing it any suggestions would be much appreciated thank you.

I did “reset“ the battery but that did not seem to have any affect.

Without knowing any specific test procedures for your vehicle.
Might suggest you attach a amp clamp and measure the current draw.
Then disconnect the dashboard cluster and see if the current draw changes.
