      Is it worth replacing the intake and head gaskets when an engine was driven “hot” and coolant was present in the oil? Or should a rebuild be done to salvage the engine.

        If your asking if just replacing the gaskets is going to fix the issue.
        No way to tell.
        Depending on the age / mileage
        Being your pulling the heads.
        It would be wise to have them serviced / machined at a qualified machine shop.
        Also check the deck for flatness to determine if the block will need resurfacing.

          Pretty much got the truck for free, didn’t want to put too much work / money into it, I know the damage could be all the way too the main barrings but I wasn’t planning on heavy use.
