my dad has a 1978 f150 custem with a 302 auto and i love old trucks to. i like your saying “American Trucks= cheep dependable work horses!”
Ya even with a littl or a lot of rust there is just something ya got to like about em. Man a 1978 with a 302 hard to beat that!!!
I used to have a 85 Chevy 2500 4×4 with a 454 and a richmond 5 speed with 4.11 gears. I wish i never rolled that truck. RIP C;(

Old Chevys I love. My first running truck was a 75 K10 Scottsdale. Loved that thing wish I never had to get rid of it, It was the T350 Auto mated to a 350. 4X4 as well. Ive had a few K5s, a 77, 80, 87, and a 79. The 79 was my fav it sucks that the motor seized up on it. Im hoping to find an older crew cab 4×4 but theyre hard to come by especially without the dually setup
Currently driving a 67 F-100 Quad Cab 4WD with a 460/ C6. Absolutely love it. Going to try to find a 4 speed to put behind it, but the C6 does fine for now. Gotta love the classics.
hey guys i have a 79 chevy k10. my dad bought it new in 79, and when i was 12 he gave it to me. My plan at the time was to fix it up, but i was a 12 year old kid and i didnt know what i was doing. So the truck set in the same spot for 12 years, i never started it or anything. about a year ago i decided i was gonna fix it up. I figured the engine would be seized up or something. So i put a new baterry on it put fresh gas in it and primed the carb. cranked it about 30 seconds and it fired up like it was brand new. Blew my mind i never dreamed it would run that good. I have been driving it ever since haven’t had one problem yet. I love that old truck. It has been the one constant my entire life. Say what you want about chevy, but they new their stuff when they built that truck i don’t think you could destroy it if you tried lmao
1986 Chevy pick up long bed. V6 with a Holley 4. 4 speed hurst. Love the damn thing. Problems with the holley thou. Can’t seem to ever get the right fuel mixture. Gas vapors coming out of exhaust. I call the truck “THE BLOB”…..
