      ok so i did a 1×3 drain and fill on my transmission because the last couple weeks i have been experiencing high rpm revs when speed reaching 40-60 got better once i did the fluid change but still feel like its revs higher then it should also feels like im stepping on the break pedal and it’s not going speeding up how it should anyone have any ideas what can be causing this the car is at 200,000 miles i know it’s alot but i have always put alot of money in to the car now im learning how to do some stuff my self im just hoping it’s nothing 2 expensive i dont have money to rebuild or buy a new transmission i recently got a new axle seal for it because i notice a small leak but it’s now fixed . anyone know if the fuel filter or bad oxygen sensor can cause this ? my check engine light is on it’s bad 02 sensor code bank 2 those are the 2 things im

        Always use Honda OEM fluid when doing any type of fluid maintenance on those transmissions. You will experience issues without it. Eric is a big preacher of this.

        Also, for the CEL light, it could be several causes from loose connections, to faulty wiring or possible a bad o2 sensor. You would need to do a good solid visual inspection and follow the correct diagnosing procedure before replacing parts.

        Having a scan tool that shows live data would be very helpful here.

          i do have a scanner it says p0137 low voltage o2 sensor im going to buy some more atf honda fluid and do the 3×3 to try to get out all the other stuff that was in there before i did notice the car shifting beter with the 1×3 drain and fill i just didnt want to do the 3×3 cause i heard alot of people’s tranny’s died from doing this .

            Does your scan tool show PID data?

              Actron/OBD II and CAN AutoScanner plus tool with CodeConnect and ABS displays for 1996 and newer vehicles, trilingual im not sure about pid data i also have the obd2 usb plug to use my laptop havent tried it yet.

                Unfortunately it may be that you need to replace the transmission. Just about every time this question comes up someone admits to using something other than Honda fluid and after I hear that the story usually ends in a transmission replacement. I do NOT recommend a rebuild as only people that are qualified and experienced should rebuild those transmissions and given that they were not prone to failure I would say you would be safe with a salvage yard unit. The fuel filter and O2 sensor have nothing to do with that problem based on your description.
