Many times it is due to a binding caliper slide (aka guide pins). Sometimes it is due to a kinked brake hose that is preventing the flow of brake fluid back the master cylinder. A good visual inspection of your front brakes will help you determine the cause.
If you suspect a problem with the rear brakes, it may be that they just need to be adjusted.
Do you have any braking system (red “Brake” or orange “ABS”) or check engine lights illuminated on the dash? What is the level of brake fluid in the reservoir?
Brake fluid is usually clear to amber in color. If it is very dark, you may need to perform a fluid exchange to remove harmful contaminants/large particulates. I believe the suggested interval is every 3 years for most vehicles and of course, only use the type of fluid that the manufacturer suggests (found on the fluid reservoir cap or your owners manual). Although I believe this may be a contributing factor to your issue, I believe a good visual inspection of your caliper slides are still in order.
