Brake Warning light comes on and stays on

Hi there

My brake warning light comes on and stays on?
I’ve checked the pads and they are like new both front and rear, I’ve also checked the fluid level which is at the required level, I couldn’t find any leaks on any of the pipes either.

Any help would be mostly appreciated.

Car is a Audi A3 1.9tdi 2001yr

I plugged my diagnostics code reader into the car with NO ERRORS, Is there away of switching the warning light off as its annoying the hell out of me.

One of the sensors or wires are open. check all the sensor connectors. I don’t
believe the rear pads have the sensors just the fronts.

It could also be the float inside the fluid reservoir is getting stuck or has a crack/defect. If this is the cause of the issue you will need to replace the fluid reservoir.

I will take a look at this also.

all tho the warning light comes on it doesn’t seam to effect the braking, its just bugging me that the light is on constantly.
