    Hello!
I have a 2002 Toyota Highlander Limited V6 and i have been getting humming/buzzing noise when the car is in motion and under load.
The sound does not replicate when in park or neutral and is coming from the front of the cabin, near the front left wheel.
Any ideas what this could be? I tried taking to a local garage and they couldn’t find what it was and they just want to try putting in parts.

They also said it cant be a wheel bearing because the noise wasnt constant.

    Could be several different possibilities
    Exhaust / heat shield(s)
    Brakes
    Engine / transmission mount(s)
    U-joint(s)
    Bearing(s)
    Fan shroud

You’ll need to start checking off items to narrow down the source.

Lets start even simpler than that, exhaust heat shield? Is is more humming or more buzzing?

Its more of a buzzing sound, and gets loud if you put floor the gas pedal, i will check out the heat shield tomorrow.
