      200k miles

      Symptoms:

      • Car overheats when stopped/idling
      • Dual radiator fans work and do turn on automatically.
      • Heater blows cold air when idling

      .
      Things i’ve tried:

      • Replaced Thermostat
      • Replaced water pump
      • flushed cooling system
      • bled air out of cooling system
      • pressure tested to 15psi, stayed at pressure for 5 minutes.

Any ideas on what could be causing it? Thanks!

If your getting cold air with the heat on you either have a blockage or air entrapment.
First see if the heater core is blocked by flushing it out.

        Then bleed the cooling system:

If it is a troublesome system you may need to vacuum fill the system:

Thanks for your response. The heater core being blocked won’t cause the engine to overheat though will it?

If there is a blockage in the heater core, it could be there is a blockage with in the radiator also.
The two share the same basic design.
