Cooling system on my ’96 GMC Sierra 1500, 4.3, overheated and blew boiling water and some kind of red crap all over the engine compartment. Started taking things apart and the inside of the hoses are covered with the red (what ever it is) and the thermostat is actually packed with it. The “it” is a heavy jelly, red in color. Any way to flush the block and heater with it disassembled? What should I use as a flush?
