      Need some help. I have a 1999 Honda Civic LX. The temperature gauge fluctuates downward when I increase the rpm. I used Eric’s procedure to bleed the cooling system. What could the problem be. I’ll post a link to the video so you can see what it does.

        Sounds like a poor connection at the ECT sender. Where the wire connects to the sender, wiring slightly upstream in the harness, or possibly a failing connection inside the sender itself may open when vibrating at these RPM. I would start by checking/cleaning the connector. If that doesn’t help, hook up your ohmmeter and watch while an assistant duplicates the problem.
