    Hi,
I have a 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring GL automatic with 150,000 miles on it. The cruise control shuts offs, both the SET and CRUISE light after a few minutes after being turned on. Initially it would turn off after about 10 minutes and gradually started turning off faster and faster where now it is usually turns off after about 2 minutes. Since the entire cruise control system switches off (both the CRUISE and SET light), I ruled out that the brake switch. I am assuming if it was the brake switch then just the SET would be turned off (I may be wrong, let me know…). I have another Hyundai that has a compatible clock spring and switch assembly (the buttons on the steering wheel that is used to operate the cruise control) that I swapped out between the 2 vehicles and this did not fix the issue.

There are no codes and the check engine light is not on.

Any trouble shooting tips that could get me to the next step would be appreciated.

Just a thought and I’m not sure how, but maybe it’s an intermittent abs problem?… I know many scanners out there, Autozone and the like on scan for MIL codes and not ABS. And as ABS is a self-clearing system it might just be a bad sensor. I would check out those.
