Fuel filter won't come off line to fuel pump

Hey ETCG,
I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer and cannot get the fuel filter to come off the fuel line going to the fuel pump. It is disconnected from the pump because I am changing out the fuel pump. I also want to change the filter but cannot get the line off because it is so rusted. Any ideas besides changing out the entire line with the filter?

Try blowing compressed air into and around the inside of the connector, then soak it in penetrating oil.
After letting it sit a while carefully try to work the line.
