I just changed a head gasket on my 2003 Honda Civic EX 1.7 Vtec engine. i just realized the book calls for 49 ft lbs of torque on the head bolts, and i torqued the new set to 70 ft lbs. i read the wrong number. It was all together before i realized the mistake. What kind of problems can i expect if i don’t attempt to correct the problem?

        Over-tightening could possibly cause:
        Warping of the head.
        Damage to the head gasket.
Shearing of the head bolts under load / stress or heat expansion.
