I have a 2008 Nissan altima and a code popped up ( P0455, P0455 p/d ) it says , Evap emission control system leak (large)…..how can I repair this issue? Is there an easy fix to this vehicle that iis inexpensive?, thank you in advance

Did you titghten the gas cap all the way? Ensure it is on tight and clear the code, if it returns you may need a new gas cap… (It is not sealing properly),,, if that does not work the only thing a person without a smoke machine can do is a good visual inspection of the evap system hoses. Fortunately (if you can call it that) is that it is a Large leak and the problem may be more noticeable…

1st thing I’d check is your Gas cap for brittle/crack seal, sometimes the seal on the gas cap can become brittle allowing the fuel vapor to leak through the Cap. usually most common cause

Well , toyotakarl I want to thank you guys for you help and input my wife put gas in the car but was rushing and she didn’t notice that she didn’t put gas cap on properly… I can’t do much anymore due to my loss of eyesight… Again thank you!

That is the easiest fix so be grateful. EVAP leaks can be a real pain to diagnose sometimes.
