Car is a 2006 Chrysler Seabring Touring with a 2.7L V6, it also has about 130,000 miles on it.
I am currently experiencing no symptoms at this moment with the vehicle, neither is the owner, i recently did some repairs on the vehicle, the vehicle would at times randomly sputter or stall when it came to a stop and went to accelerate, plugged the scan tool in and i was getting three speperate codes, one for the camshaft position sensor intermittent failure, one for catalytic converter inefficency, and one posted P2098 post catalyst fuel trim too lean bank 2.
I attacked the first and biggest issue and did some research on the camshaft position sensor, seemed to be a common failure, so i checked the sensor and its wiring and connections, wiring was good, so where the connections, so i replaced the sensor and no more issues with that.
I erase the codes take the car for a test drive and everything runs good now for the most part, the car has 130,000 miles with mostly factory parts so i suggested next she get a tune up, plugs, throttle body clean, replace 02 sensors.
now are there any common failures that would cause this code on this vehicle that any of you know of, i know a clogged up fuel injector can cause a lean condition, so can a intake vacuum leak, but i am not getting codes for low manifold pressure nor am i hearing any hissing under hood, i personally think the car needs a tune up with 130,000 miles and stock parts, what do you guys think?
