So how much is the service of a Standard Drive Belt and water pump replacement?

Is it too much for a person to do on their own?

That would depend on the engine configuration side load Vs front loaded and what drive accessories and / or radiator would be required to be removed along with added costs IE. replacement water pump, gasket, belt if needed, coolant and required system bleeding.
Also the possible cost of a cooling system flush.

Can a DIYer complete the task?, many can providing you have the tools and basic skills.
