Why would two transmissions in a row from a large company that rebuilds them have defective torque converter‘s?

The first one worked good for about 15 minutes and then the torque converter shuttered really bad and never worked again ?

Replaced to complete transmission and torque converter and right from the start the torque converter clutch would apply for one second and then release for one second and then apply for a second and then release for a second?

It will continue to do that for 20 minutes if I stay at the same speed ??

      Very annoying to drive !!!

      It’s a 2008 Chevy avalanche with a 5.3 L and a 4 x 4 drive train

Possible faulty batch / lot from the torque converter manufacturer / supplier

It’s from a company called LKQ auto wreckers but they source them from a company in Texas ? Rebuilt with a three-year unlimited mileage warranty and they are paying me $1000 every time I have to do the re and re !!
The transmission is almost going to be free

The new transmission arrived today by courier and I will install it on the weekend
