So, let’s talk about sound systems. What do you all have for a system in your cars?

      My system consists of:

4 Pioneer 6.5 inch tri-axial full range speakers
1 Koiiler XM-6666 amplifier (powering the 4 pioneers in parallel for a 2 Ohm load, 85 Watts RMS / channel)
1 Audiobahn AW1251T 12″ dual voice coil sub, in a custom sealed enclosure
1 Punch 200a4 amp, powering the sub, bridged into 2 channel mode, 4 Ohms load 100 Watts RMS / channel
      Kenwood dnx9980HD in dash nav / MP3 / DVD / satellite receiver
      And . . . a $13 Ebay backup camera, just because I could 🙂

More than enough to drown out the sounds of the failing ball joints lol.

you should post some pics and/or youtube of your system. Show us how it’s wired, the major components, and the end result. 🙂

It is little bit difficult to make electrical circuits of all these but needs more explanation.

lets see currently, a pioneer head unit, factory amp and door speakers, coustic 241se amp pumping a massive audio pm 12 dvc sub in a (unfortunately) ported box. all in a 95 explorer but the head unit is about to be switched to a jensen double din dvd navigation unit. and the box is getting changed for a sealed box. and a second amp with 2 power bass 6x9s will be added

How many watts RMS are you feeding the sub’s? I’m thinking of going the two 12s route or even two 10s to save some space.

My car is a 2012 Civic.

I have a Sony CD player with aux input and Bluetooth.

It powers the stock speakers in the rear dash and a pair of 6.5″ Coustic component speakers in the front doors.

I also have a pair of 10″ Rockford Fosgate subs in a ported box powered by a Kicker ZX-1500.1 amplifier.

                            I like bass. 🙂

its something like 200 watts per sub, i got a small amp pushing them but its a good amp. want to get a bigger 500+ watt to push them but cant afford it yet

Took me 5 years to re-invest after my setup got stolen so I went cheap then tuned everything.
                                Headunit: JVC KD-R330
Front: Old school Memphis oversized 6″ 3-way (not stolen)
                                Rear: JBL 6 1/2 somethings
Sub (newest addition): Dual SBP8A Bandpass 8″ w/built-in amp.

It thumps in my camry with a backseat down.
