For the last few months I have been getting the classic wheel bearing roar at speeds over 15 mph from the front end. Brought it into the shop to get the front bearings done on both sides. The shop also said that while they were under there, the noticed one of my front calipers was starting to freeze up.
Picked the car up and after a few minutes of driving, the noise was back. Still the same wheel bearing noise. Does not change when turning to either side, does not change when applying the brakes, but it does change with speed, and there’s no vibration under braking.
My question is could it be the stuck caliper making that noise, and it wasn’t the bearings to begin with, or did the mechanic take me for a ride and didn’t actually replace the bearings.
