I have a 5 pin wire connector I need to splice back together. The connector has two blue wires (both identical), two white wires (also both identical) and one white wire/black stripe. When I splice the wires back together anyone of the blue wires should be able to go to either one of the other two blue wires, the same for the white correct?

You’d need a diagram of the circuit to see if the pairs of wires go to or from the same point.
My first thought is all the wires are different for the simple fact you have a five pin connector, but it may also be engineered as such.
Best to check and be safe.
