ok so ive got a 1990 acura integra ls 1.8l automatic. with 100,000 miles on it
when the engine is cold it starts up great and idle great. but after you get the engine warmed up a bit the idle starts to sound like its misfireing when at a stop light or parked it hops between 400-900 rpm theres not pattern to it. when accelerating from start it stumbles untill about 2000 rpm and then runs smooth from there, accelerates great after 2000 rpm
some times it stumbles more when going up hill at low rpm(1000-2000) and sometimes it pulls fine.Things Ive tryed:
the exhaust doesnt smell like fuel when its idleing rough
There are no codes
I check the collent and I toped it off.
I checked for vaccum leaks found none
I got new spark plugs
i checked the spark wires they’re good and the distrubuter gives spark every time( i dont want to buy new spark plug wires or distributer untill im sure that are causing the problem),
Checked the Timing belt its spot on, i also had it tightened
I Cleaned both of the IAC’s and adjusted the fast IAC
Checked the fuel filter and its clean
Ive tryed putting a load on the engine by turning all the lights and electricals on, that didnt change the rough idle.
checked the PCV and its cleani noticed that the idle adjustment was tampered with, so i tighned it, and that didnt help
