I own a 2009 Honda Civic EX 2-door coupe, automatic transmission, with 101,000 miles. The car runs well and has no issues at the current time.

What is the recommended replacement mileage or interval for the timing belt and water pump? I do most of my own work and am considering attempting this job.

      Thank you,
      TW82

Providing you have a timing belt and not a timing chain, Honda civic 1.8L 4 cylinder has a chain.
Honda Civic models between the years 1996 – 2000 have a recommended timing belt replacement of 105,000 miles or 7 years. 2001 – 2005 Civics have a recommended replacement at 110,000 miles or 7 years. Civics, 2006 and newer don’t have a belt, they come with a timing chain, and does not need to be replaced.
According to your owners manual 110,000 miles.
