      Car won’t start immediately. Holding the ignition key in start position causes it to try to start slowly, then faster, then faster until it starts. The attached video shows the dashboard lights flickering and sound.

        Anyway, what diagnostics or fixes have you attempted up to this point?

        A few things come to mind.

        1. battery
        2. dirty/corroded connections on battery or starter
        3. voltage drop in the starting circuit

        I would do a load test on the battery first, clean the connections and then look for drops with a test light or meter.
