      Hello, I am having a great deal of difficulty trying to set the correct timing for a Volvo S80 with 6 cylinder 2.9 liter engine. Can anyone please share any kind of schema diagram that could be helpful? I’d pretty much appreciate.

        Have you been following the procedure in the Haynes manual or the factory service manual? Where are you running into trouble?
        You’re talking about ignition timing, not valve timing?
        Is the picture you attached relevant to your question?

          Thanks for your response relative4. The picture is relevant to my question. Yes I am talking about the Ignition timing.

            OK, then I guess the reason you’re unable to set the ignition timing is because you have no cylinder head.

              You have to have the cylinder head on and the intake plenum on to set the ignition timing
