      Hello,

I believe my 2003 Chevy Malibu has an A/C leak that needs to be found. Last year I put refridgerant in and the A/C immediately started getting cold. This worked for some time and then over the winter months I believe it has leaked out. Could be a simple fix. I’m curious how I need to go about finding the leak as simply as possible? I assume put dye into the system. Could you suggest a good product for doing this? Steps I can take to do this would be great!

      Thank you!

A AC leak kit is pretty inexpensive (under $30.00 )

You may want to clean the AC components if there is excessive dirt, grease or oil build up to make viewing easier.

          Thank you.

What’s the best way to inject the dye if I’m using a recharge can of R134a from an auto store?

The only way I’ve every used leak dye is to use a manifold set to get the dye into the system.

            There are other methods.

Also a Freon sniffer can locate a leak
