Description

This VManual covers the complete step by step replacement of the timing belt and water pump in Honda Civics equipped with the D series engine. In addition it covers the drive belt replacement and bleeding the cooling system.

Specifically this VManual covers the replacement of the timing belt and water pump on a 2007 Honda Civic. I also cover the older version of the D series timing belt replacement in older model Civics. The procedure for the older versions are detailed throughout the video as cut aways. The main differences between the older and newer engines is the placement of the accessories, mainly the alternator. Older D series engines placed the alternator on the back of the engine toward the firewall or bulkhead. Newer versions of the D series mounted the alternator on the front of the engine near the radiator. The engines are essentially the same, it's the placement of the accessories that varies for the most part.

Description

This VManual covers the complete step by step, fastener by fastener replacement of the clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing on the 1990-2002 4 cylinder Honda Accord, and 1997-1999 Acura 2.2&2.3L CL models. Diagnosis of the clutch is also included. In addition, this VManual also includes the diagnosis and replacement of the clutch hydraulics which are also a common failure point on this vehicle. I also cover the rear main seal replacement, but do not show step by step replacement of it. Additionally, I show how to handle reconditioning the flywheel and clutch alignment. The replacement of the transmission fluid is also covered. In summary, this is a complete VManual covering all aspects of this repair from diagnosis to completion. There is also a complete tool listing in the VManual. I also demonstrate lifting and supporting the vehicle safely.

So if you're considering doing this job yourself and saving hundreds over having someone else do it for you, this is the VManual for you. VManuals are better than repair manuals because you're watching an actual video of the process over reading it in a manual. I feel it is a more engaging experience as a result. I also bring my years of Honda experience to show you little tips and tricks to make the job easier. If nothing else after watching the VManual you will know exactly what's involved with the job and feel more confident in doing it yourself.

If you have issues with the download or have questions about the VManual, please send them to Support@EricTheCarGuy.com, there is NO PHONE SUPPORT for this product but emails submitted to the address above will be answered within 24 hours. Sonoma Engine Wide

Description

2001 GMC Sonoma 2.2L Engine Replacement Video (Full Version)

This is the full version of the Sonoma Engine Replacement Series. As you know this video has a special place in my heart as it belonged to my late friend Ryan Coffey, who passed away from cancer in 2012. His parents brought me the truck with a blown engine and this video contains the full version of the chronicles of that job. This video is the edit of the entire process with no cuts or breaks in between as in the YouTube version. In addition to being the 'full' version of the video, it also has an alternate ending. The ending of this video was shot the night I finished the job. With the YouTube version of the video I went back and shot a different ending and edited that in. Know that 100% of the profits from the sale of this video go directly to Reflections of Grace which is an organization that deals directly with victims of DIPG. DIPG is the type of cancer that Ryan succumbed to. Here's a link to their website in case you'd like to make a donation in addition to this video purchase.

So, if you have a Sonoma or an S10 truck of this vintage and need to see what's involved with replacing the engine, particularly a 2.2L engine, this is the video for you. You can also feel good knowing that your purchase is funding a good cause. Everybody wins.

2007 Tahoe Engine Wide

Description

This is by far one of the most watched video series on EricTheCarGuy and for that reason and the requests that I've gotten to do something like this, I've put together this video that encompasses the entire series into one video. Not only do you get the engine replacement but you also get the diagnosis of the misfire which includes "How to Perform a Leak Down Test" AND the tear down of the old engine after the replacement. So if you're a fan of this series you'll defiantly want this for your collection. I almost forgot that I also replace the transmission as well as the engine in this video. We were able to find an engine and transmission that only had 11 miles on them so it was kind of a no brainer. In the end we won and the Tahoe went away with a new engine and transmission that hopefully the owner will take better care of. So download or get your streaming version today for the 2007 Chevy Tahoe 5.3L Engine/Transmission Replacement video.

2002 Dodge Engine VManual Wide

Description

The fans of EricTheCarGuy that love their Dodges love this video series so I've compiled all the videos in the series and have made one complete video of the entire process. In fact this one was a request from one of those fans. There are a few lessons in this video, not the least of which is to make darn sure you check to see if your salvage yard engine spins before you install it into your truck. That's part of what I do as ETCG though, I fail so you don't have to. That said this is a good video that covers the removal and replacement of this 4.7L beast that goes into this Ram 1500. So if you have one of these trucks that needs and engine or you just like watching me roll around on the concrete this is the video for you.

1998 Civic Engine Wide

Description

If there's one thing I've learned from doing EricTheCarGuy these past few years it's that Honda people LOVE their Civics and it's for that reason that I made the Civic 1.6L engine replacement video available to you today. This is the complete series compiled into one video. It covers the step by step process of the replacement of the engine on this 1998 Honda Civic. In a way this video is also a lesson in making sure you check and maintain your oil level, in fact I ended up putting a second engine in this car because it also was run dry on oil and the same fate befell it. The second engine is doing just fine BTW, it was a reman and looked much better than the first engine I put in. Don't worry, I put the tear down in this video also so you can see first hand what happened to this poor engine after it ran out of oil. So kick back grab some popcorn and enjoy this full version of the Civic Engine replacement video. It's available in both streaming and download form.
