The ONLY Fix for the Honda J Series Spool Valve Oil Leak
This is a common oil leak on Honda J series engines. The spool valve on the front cylinder head, right by the dipstick, can leak and possibly damage or destroy your alternator in the process.
I’ve tried the “Honda gaskets” you can get on Amazon in my last video. They only lasted 9 months and less than 10,000 miles before they started leaking. Also, watch the video I did on the replacement of these gaskets and find out how I accidentally caused a CEL when doing that gasket replacement. Better yet, don’t bother with those gaskets.
I know the part from Honda is expensive, but in my experience, it may be the most permanent fix for this problem. This video will show you how to replace it.
Thank you for watching!
