You shouldn’t hear the transmission at all. Make sure they used Honda fluid though, that could be trouble if they didn’t. You can also use GM Syncromesh, it actually works pretty good in Hondas.
You’ll have to jack up the vehicle, it’s the heat shield on the right axle that you’re looking at. You can’t miss it, it covers the middle bearing on the right axle.
