One of the most common codes to come up with an engine light in a Toyota is the P1200 Powertrain – Manufacturer-controlled DTC, also known as a "fuel pump relay" code. This can be caused by three things, all related to the fuel pump relay circuit.
Most of the time, the problem is in the fuel pump itself – specifically the control module for the fuel pump, which is usually located on top of the fuel pump or on the outside of the fuel tank where the fuel pump is mounted. On some models, these are separate units, but most of the time, the fuel pump and its controller are one piece.
The BARO Sensor Circuit Malfunction code, P1100, is a manufacturer-specific code that is one of the universal OBD II codes used in vehicle diagnostics. Although the code is included in every vehicle's computer that complies with OBD II, it does not mean that a barometric sensor is on every vehicle made. In fact, the vast majority of vehicles, including nearly all Toyotas, do not include a barometric sensor.
Normally, a barometric sensor will only appear on race vehicles using high-octane fuels, some older diesel vehicles, and a few older fuel injection systems. Most vehicles today, however, get by with a mass air flow (MAF) sensor or a manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor. It's not unusual for a P1100 code to come up during engine diagnostics, despite the barometric pressure sensor not being on the vehicle. When this happens, the P1100 will usually be part of a suite of error codes from the ECU.
A P0148 code is a High Pressure Common Rail Checksum and is usually related to the fuel control actuator (FCA) or fuel pressure sensor. P0148 can be caused by several fuel system problems, but will likely be something that involves pressure or the FCA.
When a P0148 is triggered, it's unlikely that you'll notice many symptoms of a problem. Start by smelling your engine while it's running at higher RPMs – if you note the smell of fuel, than your Dodge/Ram probably has a fuel leak that needs to be addressed (and the leak is likely triggering this code). You'll want to run a fuel pressure check on the rails and fuel lines connecting to them to verify.
On Chrysler vehicles equipped with a diesel engine (Dodge or Ram), the P0069 code indicating a Manifold Absolute Pressure – Barometric Pressure Correlation (MAP BPC) is somewhat common. This code may or may not be accompanied by other engine codes, and unfortunately P0069 could be caused by a number of different issues.0
Essentially, the P0069 code is triggered when the barometric pressure inside the air intake is not on par with the manifold absolute pressure being measured. This code usually indicates an airflow problem, but could also indicate an unusually high temperature difference inside the air intake.
