Caffeine and Octane on the Beach 2017 -ETCG1
On March 17-19, 2017 I had the pleasure of attending the first Caffeine and Octane on the Beach. It might just be an annual thing from what I experienced. It was an amazing show, and there was a line of cars across the bridge coming into the island on Saturday with people trying to get to the show. By my measure, that’s a successful event.
Not only was the show great, but also the company. Steve Goers from Metal Rescue turned into a good friend by the end of the weekend. I can’t forget about Alex Josefson either. He’s the president of Spectro oils and also a really great guy to hang out with.
I realize these are people who you’ve never heard of, but they are the ‘unsung’ heroes of a show like this, pun intended Steve. Without them, you don’t have sponsors and you don’t have a show.
You might know Mike Finnegan from Roadkill. We hit it off as well. He’s just as cool in person as he is on Roadkill. Yes, I did ask for a future collab between ETCG and Roadkill. I want that to happen as much as you do.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Bryan Fuller, Lou Santiago, and Kevin Byrd from Two Guys Garage. All great people.
Not to mention Jekyll Island is a beautiful place, and a great place for a car show like this.
So, I hope you enjoy this summary of the show with all of it’s beautiful and unique vehicles.
